HOW FOCUS ARE YOU WITH YOUR DREAM?
Joseph had dreams in Genesis 37:5-11 and he knew that his destiny was tailored to the revelation. He was sold into slavery by his brothers and found himself in Potiphar's house. He was in charge of everything in Potiphar's house excluding his wife; but he knew his dream was bigger than the position given in Potiphar's house. So he upheld his dream and was not distraughted by the things in Potiphar's house, even when the wife wanted to bring herself under his control. He understood these are distraughtions, he rejected the offer and that decision led him to prison. He did not give up on his dreams. He was in charge in the prison; yet not distraughted. He behaved wisely because he understood that his dreams were bigger than the circumstances surrounding him even when Pharaoh's servants were thrown into the prison along with him. When he was taken to the palace to see Pharoah, he was never carried away by the things he saw there.
Joseph was in slavery but never allowed his circumstance to affect either his thought or behavior. He spoke with clarity to king Pharaoh. Many of us are living in a free society but not better than those in prison. We have allowed the circumstances around to eat deep into us; and are left with negative thoughts which do not profit us. Even when some of us are rescued out of this mentally yet we find it difficult to adopt to the new environment or our original self. The king did not ask the people to send Joseph to school to train him.The servants knew by order that although this man may have appeared with rags that signified slavery and imprisonment ; but in him were wisdom and understanding needed in a time like that. So they changed his clothe to suite his image. He was properly put together to appear before the king. He gave him the solution to the dream that baffled him. The king could not find a man better in knowledge and understanding to handle his project; so he charged him to do so. At this point, he ended up actualising his dreams. What about you?
