PRAYER IS THE KEY

PRAYER

We all believe and know that prayer is answer to everything. Jesus confirmed it by saying, “prayer is key”. The bible says that we should, “pray without ceasing”. It simply means that prayer is very vital in day-to-day lives and that is why we believe that when a child is born and prayer is done, it can guide his/her life. Most pages in the Bible lays emphases on prayer.

Prayers are taught in different dimensions. Many believe that without prayer we can do nothing. You can also agree with me that “prayers can change any situation,” this has been our believe from time in memorial. We have attended many prayer meetings and conferences, principles of prayers are been taught in different dimensions but implementations in our lives have yielded no interest. For instance, the issue of financial breakthrough, some graduated without jobs, marriages are not working, and businesses are collapsing. Yet, in all of these instances; we implement all we know about prayers and the situations have become unchangeable. In some cases, we come to conclusion that the situation confronting us may be the will of God concerning us. Some believe that God will answer them at the appointed time. Other believe that the situation is not in the place of prayer; but this is not true.

Note that each time you prayer; you weaken the hand of your adversary whether you believe it or not. Some will tell you that they have fasted for days, weeks, and months; yet no result. So by this their faith is been weakened .But to make the matters worse, you meet someone and explain your problems to him\her and you are advised to fast for three days. Deep down in you, you believe that after three days the problem will be solved and the answer will come. Only to discover the more you pray, the more troubles come your way and you conclude not to pray to avoid more troubles.

Prayer was demonstrated by Daniel himself in the book of Daniel, he fasted for twenty-one days and got an answer. If you look at the context of his prayer, you will notice that Daniel had the ability to pray and get revelations to his prayer. The story narrated in that verse told us that Daniel prayed , there was no answer. He never had in mind how many days to fast and pray. He continued to pray and fast until the answer came and it was at the end of his continuous non-stop fasting the answer came.

These two are great examples for people that believe in prayers. There are no specific day, time, week or month that God answers prayers. When you get to the place of prayer, you are expected to remain there till the answer comes- that’s the principle of prayer because it has no respect for time. If you can apply this principle in any situation that confront you, nothing will be impossible.

This issue that I am sharing came through very difficult experience. I met a lady over fifteen years ago who had come of age to be married; yet no one was interested in her: talkless of asking for her hands in marriage. We prayed for several nights and she woke up one morning with a revelation that she saw a very tall man who came to her with two other arrested men and said to her’ I have arrested these ones hindering you from marriage,” and they were taken away. The next night, the lady was woken up to pray; she said, she cannot continue and we asked her why? Of which she shared her revelation. She was advised to continue, of which she refused saying her problem was solved through her revelation. She is still unmarried till this day.
