The Lost Glory

THE LOST GLORY A story was told in Genesis 38 about Judah going out of his environment to get married. In Genesis 49 Judah was blessed. He was the first to receive his father's blessing because he said he was the one that his people shall praise. By this blessing kingship should come from his lineage but his lifestyle and character were opposite this. When the time came that Israel needed a king, no one was qualified in his lineage, and the LORD went to Benjamin to get an interim king until Judah's lineage was ready for the kingdom. Suddenly, Saul emerged as the first king of Israel but later worked contrary against the will and purpose of God and the LORD rejected him. He went back to the lineage of Judah to seek for a king. He found a young lad called David and was trained in the wilderness. David found so much favour in God's sight to redeem Judah's lineage but because Judah did not prepare his lineage for the throne in Israel; David labored for seventeen ( 17 ) years to get there. How prepared are you to position yourself and lineage to be in the place where they can fulfill their destinies and not being taken out of the place of their blessing? This story of Judah's inability to prepare his lineage for their inheritance has been a major problem in our societies today. Everybody is interested in greener pastures or better place to make it and fail to discover who they are. Discovering who you are and working towards it would have given you an edge over situations in life. DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE !!! ACTION POINTS 1 ) LORD help me to discover myself. 2 ) LORD give me the grace to rediscover my real self. 3 ) LORD help me to discover who I am in Christ. 4 ) LORD help me to take my rightful position in this life and in your kingdom work. 5 ) LORD help me to be focused and not to chase shadows in Jesus' name.
